Happiness is hardly ever so real
you can smile and laugh on the outside
and no one will know how you truly feel
the sadness your soul contains deep inside
the small girl comes home smiling and happy
not showing a trace of the teasing at school
not wanting parents to have to worry
when alone she lets her tears fall into pools
the high school boy dates all the cutest girls
but there's no feeling between them at all
